Minister Melissa A. Johnson is a native Washingtonian, a mother, grandmother, and servant-leader. Sister Melissa accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior early in life, however it was in 1996 when she was baptized and her transformational journey with Jesus began. She lives her life in humble service to God and his people. She is an ordained Evangelist and her ministry spans from the local Washington, DC metropolitan area to East Africa. Melissa is an anointed preacher, teacher, intercessor and exhorter. These gifts are matched by an unquestionable and demonstrated compassion for all people demonstrated by her activism in several national and community organizations.
​In 2013, God graced Melissa to birth Restoration Women’s Conference (RWC), a bi-annual life changing spiritual event for all women, regardless of their relational status, age or religion. Annually she host conferences, events and workshop to fulfill the mandate on her life “to set the atmosphere to draw souls closer to the healing redemptive power of God’s heart.” Participants experience God’s restoration and freedom from life’s ills around generational addiction, oppression and brokenness that impact the lives of women and their families from all walks of life. ​
Professionally, Melissa is a passionate community advocate and civil servant with more than 24 years of federal experience working to ensure that the federal workforce is trained and educated on anti-discriminations laws, prohibited workplace practices, and inclusive. She currently works for NOAA Fisheries Office for EEO and Diversity as a Senior Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Specialist and Diversity and Inclusion Specialist. Melissa has a keen eye for solution driven strategies that produce successful outcomes. She has been recognized for creating a strong and sustainable D&I programs and initiatives. She is a certified Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Practitioner from Georgetown University School for Transformative Leadership (September 2023). Additionally, she hold certifications as an Ombudsman, Mediator, MBTI Facilitator, and John C. Maxwell trained team member.
